Vintage 1.00ct Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1950s

A deep blue sapphire sits central to this wonderful cluster ring, dating to the 1950s. The round cut stone weighs 1.00 carat and is expertly claw set into platinum. Surrounding the sapphire a square halo of eight cut diamonds sparkle. Totalling 0.12 carat, the diamonds match in colour at H and in clarity at VS. The platinum head and shoulders sit upon a band of  contrasting 18 carat yellow gold, the mix of metals complementing blue of the sapphire beautifully.
