Aquaponics is the method of combining aquaculture and hydroponics to grow both fish and vegetables in a recirculating environment. The Aquaponics introduction course will be hosted over 2 hours from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Courses are held on a Saturday several times a year. It will be held at Aquaponics WA and include light refreshments. The lecturer Mr Tony Bart is a senior lecturer at Challenger TAFE in Fremantle. Tony is eminently qualified and has years of theoretical and practical experience. He is an industry leader of aquaponics and aquaculture. WHAT IS AQUAPONICS? With more emphasis being placed on sustainable practices, aquaponics is a great way of producing healthy food with significantly less water usage and without the need for artificial fertilisers.
