Wipe the panel or part thoroughly, covering the entire surface to remove grease, dirt, wax, or contaminants. Use the cloth’s crows-foot design for streak-free cleaning and to reach edges or tight spots. Replace the cloth if it becomes heavily soiled. Once clean, the surface is ready for primer or paint application. PaintNuts Scratch & Scuff Remover, Microfibre Cloth & High Grade Polishing Pad Ensure the area is spotlessly clean, free of grease and other contaminants and dry The polishing pad can optionally be attached to a hand drill using a drill backing pad (sold separately). Please note: The white surface is to attach the polishing pad to a drill backing plate. The white surface is not for application of the compound. Do not apply polishing compound to the white surface and do not attempt to polish the paintwork with the white surface. Apply scratch and scuff paste to the yellow / orange compound polishing pad Appy even pressure and spread paste in a straight back and forth motion then up and down for around 15-30 seconds until the mark is diminished Stop once the scratch is removed or if the paint begins to fade. Remove all residue with the clean dry microfibre cloth PaintNuts Grey Primer Pen Shake pen thoroughly for at least 60 seconds to ensure the primer is mixed correctly. The surface must be clean and dry - make sure all wax, polish and dust is removed. If rust is present we suggest a rust treatment as well. Using either pen or brush apply thin, light coats in smooth strokes; if you’re using the needle point pen allow the nib to sit in the scratch or chip and squeeze gently ensuring you only apply the primer witin the damaged area. Leave the primer to dry for 10-25 minutes before applying a second coat if required. Leave the primer to cure 24 hours before applying the colour matched paint. Colour Matched Paint Pen Prepare & Clean: The surface must be clean and dry - make sure all wax, polish and grease is removed. Shake & Test: Shake the touch up car paint pen for 2-3 minutes to ensure the paint is thoroughly mixed. If your paint is metallic or pearlescent, you may notice it has separated within the bottle - this paint will need a vigorous shake, even leave it upside down for 5 minutes first. There are two ways to use the 20 ml paint touch up pen. The high-precision needle-like pen is inside the clear lid (with a red protective tip that stays inside the lid) – a firm pull will access this. The small fine brush is within the paint – just unscrew at the white collar anticlockwise to access this. Test a small amount of paint within the damaged area to check the colour match – give it 15 minutes to dry as paints can often appear different in colour inside the bottle, when still wet, if applied incorrectly or if applied on top of original undamaged paint. Paint & Finish: With either the pen nib or brush apply thin, light coats in smooth strokes; ensuring you only apply the paint within the damaged area. If you’re using the needle point pen allow the nib to sit inside the scratch or chip and squeeze gently. If new paint goes outside of the damaged area and on top of existing paint it will leave the area of repair looking darker or raised to a higher level than the original bodywork. Leave the paint to dry for 15 minutes before applying any further coats from the car touch up pen. If no further coat is required, then leave to cure for 1 hour before applying the PaintNuts Clear Lacquer. PLEASE NOTE: – cold, damp weather can adversely affect the application, finish, and drying time of paints. PaintNuts Clear Lacquer Pen Shake pen thoroughly for at least 60 seconds to ensure the lacquer is mixed correctly. The surface must be clean and dry - make sure all wax, polish and dust is removed. Using either pen or brush apply thin, light coats in smooth strokes; if you’re using the needle point pen allow the nib to sit in the scratch or chip and squeeze gently ensuring you only apply the lacquer witin the damaged area. Leave the lacquer to dry for 10-25 minutes before applying a second coat if required. Leave the lacquer to cure 24 hours before applying any polish.
