Linen is an evenweave fabric that has a more traditional look to it, and allows for creating easier fractional stitches and smooth curves due to the open weave. This fabric is 28-count, which means there are 28 threads per inch. Most patterns will ask you to “stitch over 2” which indicates each stitch being created over two threads. A 28-count linen, therefore, creates stitches that are the same size as a 14-count aida. You could also choose to “stitch over 1” thread, and get 28 stitches to an inch (making your chosen design half the original size).Linen fabric is also happy to get a nice ironing when you are done.I have done my best to capture the color accurately, but please note that there may be slight variations in how it displays on your screen, as well as in dye lots. It is similar in color to DMC 822, 644, and/or 3024.
