Description A rail is only as good as its fit and its standard. These B&T Industries Picatinny Rails are machined to Picatinny rail standards from 6061-T6 aluminum, finished in Mil-Spec Type III Class 2 hardcoat anodize, and built to mount cleanly to common hole patterns without flex or drama. Both rails include an integrated flush cup pocket so you can run flush cup sling swivels and/or a sling stud setup (hardware not included). You can fasten the rail using a standard sling stud spacer as one fastener, or use two button-head machine screws, depending on your stock/forend configuration. No hardware is included. For mounting to the forearm of standard rifle stocks, B&T notes BT1517 as the attachment solution. These rails can also be installed on a horizontal buttstock surface to support B&T precision rail monopods like the BT12, BT13, or BT31—a clean way to add rear support without improvising. BT15 vs BT17 comes down to surface geometry and hole spacing: BT15 (3.35″) has a relieved back to accommodate curved surfaces and fits shorter hole patterns. BT17 (4″) has a flat back for flat surfaces and supports a wider hole spacing range. Torque guidance (recommended limits): Accessories to metal handguards: 35 in-lb Accessories to polymer handguards: 15 in-lb(These are recommended limits, not minimums.)
